marie maternity {birmingham newborn photographer}

Marie came to me at 38 weeks pregnant. She wanted pictures of her baby boy when he arrived. I asked her if she wanted any maternity photos and she promptly told me that she had considered it but it was so late in the game. baby andrew would be here any day! but, we managed to work her in the very next day & andrew decided to wait a few more days before being born :)

we were so glad that we were able to capture this time. from the words of marie after asking her if she missed her baby bump, "The pictures make me feel nostalgic, but having him here is much better! I'm so glad we did the maternity pictures to capture that time! "

She'll always miss that feeling him wiggling in her tummy but now the pictures will be a keepsake to remind her!

& now she gets to hold him in her arms.

national association of professional child photographers {napcp}

Excited to announce that LB Studios has been accepted into the NAPCP {National Association of Professional Photographers}!!!!!!!!!

I am humbled and overjoyed as I am the first & only photog from Alabama!!

Here is a little bit about the association from their website:

"The National Association of Professional Child Photographers is an association whose mission is to promote and support the artistry and integrity of the most talented, creative, and professional child photographers. To accomplish this mission, NAPCP provides the most comprehensive resources for its members, bringing together a community of passionate artists committed to growth in their skills, their artistry, and their businesses."

TuTu Minis {Birmingham Children's Photographer}

Smith Family {Birmingham Family Photographer}

I first met the Smith family at a previous job that I loved oh so dearly taking care of sweet infants in a daycare. Kathryn was only about 6 months old when I first met her & she was so beautiful then & even more gorgeous now! I so adore my clients whom I've gained from the daycare but the funny thing is, as Kristin & I were setting up her session over email, she had no clue that I was Kathryn's old teacher! Boy were we excited to discover it was so! Knowing my clients makes sessions so much smoother & more relaxed. It definitely paid off in this session as it was one of the first HOT days of the year! But we still got some fabulous shots of the family. Here are the Smith's lovin' on their baby girl Kathryn.

I just can't get over how something so beautiful as a baby could possibly get any more beautiful!

Did I mention that it was uber hot that day? but this sunshine shot turned out gorgeous even if it did mean we were drenched in sweat to achieve it! ;)
